This may come to as a shocker to many iPhone fans, but the iPhone 5 release which was expected to be in August 2012 may be delayed on to October 2012. Verizon announced that a major smartphone will be launched in the fourth quarter, smartphone enthusiasts and analysts understood that Apple has dropped its plans to release iPhone 5 in August.

Since last quarter does not include August therefore it is assumed that this release would be somewhere in October.
